The Canadian Association for Parish Nursing Ministry Parish Nursing is a health ministry of faith communities which emphasizes the wholeness of body, mind and spirit. Compassionate Care Course
The Compassionate Care Course is designed for anyone preparing to support and care for individuals that are living with a life-limiting illness and those who are grieving a death.
The Compassionate Care Course is intended as training for Palliative Manitoba volunteers, but is open to organizations and the public as space allows. The course takes place one weekday evening for eight consecutive weeks and students are required to attend all classes in order to receive certification. Please note; for Palliative Manitoba volunteers there are 2 additional weeks for volunteer orientation.
Each week is a different topic and classes are lead by trained speakers that work in their field of specialty.
